A Family Travel Photography Session at Kensington Palace Gardens, London
One of the greatest joys of being a family photographer in London is meeting families from all over the world and helping them preserve their travel memories.
This lovely family travelled from the USA to visit London with their little boy. Kensington Palace Gardens has always been Wendy’s favourite place in the city, and this visit was extra special because it was the first time she could share it with her baby.
We began our session wandering through the beautiful Sunken Garden. The green tunnels created a peaceful, magical setting, and the little one was in the happiest mood. We captured some sweet family moments with the colourful flower beds and Kensington Palace in the background—a timeless reminder of their trip to London.
Beyond the palace, the gardens were just as beautiful. Bright red poppies, cheerful yellow flowers and delicate white daisies were in full bloom, adding so much colour to the summer afternoon. Watching the parents explore the gardens with their little boy was a joy. At his age, everything was a new adventure. Every flower, every leaf and every path sparked his curiosity, making the session feel wonderfully natural and full of genuine moments.
To finish our session, we walked over to the pond to watch the swans gliding across the water. By this time, the little one was eager to practise his new walking skills, toddling from Mum’s arms to Dad’s with the biggest smile on his face.
These photographs are more than just travel memories from London. They also capture a precious milestone—the season when their baby was learning to walk. Years from now, I hope these images will remind them not only of the beautiful gardens of Kensington Palace but also of the joy, wonder and love they shared during this special family adventure.
